The Feast of Pope St Pius X......in Louth

There are great things happening in Louth, Lincolnshire.

Brick by brick, the Holy Mass in its Extraordinary Form is returning to the faithful of Lincolnshire and well done to all who have laboured to bring about this harvest.

I have reported before that the county of Lincolnshire is not knee deep in Latin Masses so this Missa Cantata scheduled for 3rd September, is an occasion of special joy and worth attending if at all possible.

This Mass will be the first in 50 years to be celebrated at St Mary's and priests, choir members and the MC will be travelling from Leicester, Nottingham and London - and all on the feast of one of our greatest Popes, Pius X.

  2. I just had to tell you Richard that there are a lot of very, very happy people in Louth, and around Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire today.

My goodness, words cannot express how myself and others felt last night and today.

In the end, sacred ministers, MC, servers, and singers came from London, Leicester, Nottingham, York, and Hull. There were even a few tears in the parish hall afterwards and a couple of them literally bouncing off the walls with joy.

My goodness, I knew it would be good, but I didn't expect what actually happened.

After reading your blog for a long time now it needs to be said that your site has played a part in getting things eventually off the ground (you and Mr. Voris), so thanks. Keep up the good work

    Cheers

  3. Excellent news Mike - what really played the part was the effort by you and your fellow parishioners - persistence and determination plus the power of the Holy Ghost. Unstoppable!
