How do you like your Martini?

Shaken?..................Stirred?.......

I like mine forgotten....

From his last interview:-

"Our culture has aged, our churches are big and empty and the church bureaucracy rises up, our rituals and our cassocks are pompous," the Cardinal said. "The Church must admit its mistakes and begin a radical change, starting from the Pope and the bishops. The paedophilia scandals oblige us to take a journey of transformation.

  1. "The Church must admit its mistakes and begin a radical change, starting from the Pope and the bishops”.

Couldn’t agree more. The Church now some 48 eight years after that unfortunate and unnecessary Vat 2 Council, is in a complete and utter mess and it does not seem to be getting any better.
I would suggest, as a mere Catholic layman, - and without a degree in theology, sorry about that - that they start by once again teaching Catholicism, to adults as well as children.

True most of the bishops don’t seem to know what Catholicism is, but then I would refer them the Catechism of the Catholic Church for starters, assuming they have a sufficient attention span to handle such a large book.

Also they might do something about the Liturgy and in particular the New Mass, such as returning it to Continuity with two thousand years of Catholic Lex Orandi.

Then, in perhaps fifty years time, when we are all orthodox Catholic again, we might be in a position to, what's the word, oh yes, evangelise!
