Talking of Syria, Mr Cameron....

....please remember, war is not like this!

God of Compassion,
Hear the cries of the people of Syria,
Bring healing to those suffering from the violence,
Bring comfort to those mourning the dead,
Strengthen Syria’s neighbours in their care and welcome for refugees,
Convert the hearts of those who have taken up arms,
And protect those committed to peace.

God of Hope,
Inspire leaders to choose peace over violence and to seek reconciliation with enemies,
Inspire the Church around the world with compassion for the people of Syria,
And give us hope for a future of peace built on justice for all.

We ask this through Jesus Christ,
Prince of Peace and Light of the World,
Amen.
Petition: For the people of Syria, that God may strengthen the resolve of leaders to end the fighting and choose a future of peace.
We pray to the Lord

  3. This has all been cynically and stealthily contrived with the aid of the misleading propaganda of the MSM. It was the US with their money, training, organisation, etc. that started the war in Syria, when theyd finished in Libya.

  4. Belloc once charmingly and endearingly referred to Our Lord as a "Syrian peasant." Something to remember, I believe, for those of a historical mindset and a reminder of what Syria is in the eyes of God.

Thank you, Mr Collins, for the beautiful prayer, and thank you, Lynda, for seeing who is contriving this monumental evil about to be inflicted upon the innocent.

  6. This whole thing is stupid. The war in Syria is sectarian. If the US and England go into WWIII over this, it is a planned move for some other reason.

Beyond belief...congrats on making the Big Pulpit.
