Where are we going? A Franciscan Friar gives us some thoughts for 2014

Fr George Roth is a Franciscan Friar of the Immaculate.

He, like all of those in the order, is orthodox, true to Christ's teachings, keen to keep us free from becoming tainted by the world. Keen to save souls.

What better way to start the New Year than to listen to his wise and compassionate words...

  1. living proof that a homily can expound the long taught truths of the Church and, because of clarity and truth, bring real comfort along with the 'exhortation' to charity. how many people at most homilies just get a vague impression of, 'be nice', because the world is better at being nice than you lot. nice world nice world etc.

this is the first time I've heard the word purgatory in a homily in...maybe never.

Immaculata, protect the Catholicity, the authenticity of the Faith of your children. Amen.

  5. Purgatory. Suffering. I nearly passed out. How clear, how simple, how truly based on the Catechism, how Catholic. Thank you, Richard. I wish you and your family and all your blog readers a peace-filled and blessed 2014, as I pray will be accorded the FFI.
