This film is the chronicle of the Mexican Cristeros war 1926-29 when an oppressive government commenced a programme of death and violence against the largely Catholic population.
This was the time of the martyr priest, Blessed Miguel Pro; the Church was under immense pressure but held true to its teachings.
Definitely a flim to watch out for - Viva Cristo Rey!
