I dispute your major premise! once example sufficeth: Wallace and Gromet( Wrong Trousers) as I recall only show Electronics ( and similar) for dogs on Gromets shelves´.:No latin for dogs, NOT EVEN Dog-latin for dogs Ergo Modern brits can have no use for latin.
