More than ever I feel the need of having Thee close to me.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Something missing?
A ten minute film that encapsulates what we have lost.... "architecturally bankrupt" a nice turn of phrase......
Unfortunately I could use this phrase 'architectually bankrupt' for several churches I have visited over the years. It seems an apt description for a church where upon entering (or even before) one finds no beauty, no soaring architecture only bleak almost clinical design reminiscent of a bare auditorium. And where you have no idea of where they have put the Blessed Sacrament.
One I visited last year I thought must qualify for the bleakest of exteriors and interiors until I found a short video recently which showed a new church which can only be described as German Blockhaus style. And it is a Catholic church too. Talk about depressing. It can't be just the fact that the exterior is black though that is grim enough, as I remember my first view of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris was black before it was cleaned but it was still breathtakingly beautiful soaring up to the skies.
If anyone can stand to view photos of this depressing church it can be found by tapping in 'Eglise Sainte-Bernadette du Banlay Nevers' You may need a stiff drink after viewing! I believe it has received awards though my only award would be to give it the title of the world's ugliest church!
"Vatican II is the French Revolution in the Church"......The Second Vatican Council marked the end of an epoch; and if we stand back from it a little more we see it marked the end of a series of epoches.....the end of an age."......Cardinal Suenens.
In 1976 Fr. Gelineau, one of the party-leaders at the National Pastoral and Liturgical Center, removed all illusions from those who would like to see the Novus Ordo something merely a little different from the rite which hitherto had been universally celebrated..........."The reform decided on by the Second Vatican Council was the signal for the thaw......Entire structures have come crashing down.....make no mistake about it.......It is to change the form......If the form changes the rite changes..... It must be said, without mincing words.....THE ROMAN RITE we used to know exists NO MORE. IT HAS BEEN DESTROYED."
"Priests who continued to say the "Old Mass" incurred penalties ranging from loss of income to removal pure and simple, with life imprisonment for further offences. We have to be grateful that these days they do not put 'traditionalist priests' in prison...... This is why I persist, and if you wish to know the real reason for my persistence, it is this. At the hour of my death, when Our Lord asks me: "What have you done with your episcopate, what have you done with your episcopal and priestly grace?"...... I do not want to hear from His lips the terrible words........."You have helped to destroy the Church along with the rest of them."......(future saint) Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.
Saint Pius X said of the Sillonists......'they hanker for socialism, their eyes fixed on a chimera'. Their successors are continuing to do so. After Christian Democracy comes Christian Socialism. We shall end up with Christian ATHEISM!
At the present time the devil is assailing the Church. Our Lady of Fatima said that one day he would penetrate to the highest positions of the Church.......there are signs which could make us think that in the highest administrative bodies in Rome there are men WHO HAVE LOST THEIR FAITH! May those who have eyes SEE, and those who have ears HEAR!!!
Our Lady of Fatima, ora pro nobis! St. John Fisher, ora pro nobis! St. Thomas More, ora pro nobis! Archbp. Lefebvre, ora pro nobis!
