Our Father - Rivendell style

Dwarves never learnt to say the Lord's Prayer
- in Quenya or Latin

Paul Priest at OTSOTA recently featured a video clip of the Our Father in Elvish (or, Quenya) and that inspired me to look up the actual words, here they are:-

Átaremma i ëa han ëa ∙

na aire esselya ∙

aranielya na tuluva ∙

na care indómelya

cemende tambe Erumande :

ámen anta síra ilaurëa massamma ∙

ar ámen apsene úcaremmar

sív’ emme apsenet tien i úcarer emmen.

Álame tulya úsahtíenna

mal áme etelehta ulcullo : násie :

I think that I might stick with Latinish!

  1. I'm from Texas; I'm still having trouble with English.

Truly, the Mass should be in Latin, part of the Catholic unity of all cultures. Y'all.
