Every blog helps! Tesco withdraw support for Gay Pride!

Tesco funding of the 2012 event will go ahead but that will be the end of their relationship with the London Gay Pride organisation and no further sponsorship deals will be entered into - my loyalty points are safe but, more importantly, the voice of the people of God has been heard - that sounds very pompous but you get my drift.

I believe that it was Christian (not just Catholic) bloggers that achieved this small victory.
 It was the bloggers who brought the story to the attention of the mainstream press and then, of course, all who cared, wrote to complain to Tesco management.

I say that it was a victory for the work of bloggers but, of course, it was the intercession of Our Lady and infinite love of the Almighty that responded, not to our letters but our prayers.

The blog below was, perhaps, the most influential in all of this and all kudos to them.

How to make Tesco's eyes water!

We all know by now that Tesco is to drop one or two of their lesser charities (like Cancer Research) in favour of supporting a homosexual parade in London in 2012 - such a family oriented thing to do! See here for details.
Now a Tesco executive has come out and slammed those Christians who oppose homosexuality as being 'evil'. What aisle is he in I wonder?

There has been a  ripple of dissent from a few Christians but it is not going to knock Tesco off their course; they know that it will soon die down and that they will be left to get on with their odd sponsorship unimpeded.

But I do know that adverse local publicity, on a national scale, is a most efficient way of loosening the bowels of Head Office PR men and women.

Guaranteed to make a few eyes water!

What will cause a queue for the Cheshunt HQ loos is a series of letters to your local paper, calmly stating why Tescos policies are distinctly unfriendly towards families.

We all laugh at the 'disgusted of Tonbridge Wells' syndrome but it is most effective.
Almost as effective as asking the reticent doctor sitting next to you at a dinner party if he really enjoys carrying out abortions!

So please, do it.......WRITE NOW!

My Tesco trolley from now on

It's been around for a few days now and I've been thinking on't as they say in Herriot country. This is the news that supermarket giant, Tesco is to sponsor the London Pride Gay March. What to do? Take away my custom? OK but it needs a few more than Mrs Linen and myself to make an impresssion on their multi billion annual turnover.

I also object to the title of the homosexual sashay (one can hardly call it a march). London Pride is a very fine bitter brewed by Fuller's; it is also an attractive herbaceous plant. Neither deserve to be associated with the nauseating shenanigans that take place on these occasions.

Not a pansy, it's London Pride!

Thankfully, we have the English Bishops of England and Wales who, as our leaders, boldly step into the breach to proclaim the teachings of the Catholic Faith and to lead us in this battle against immorality.

So what do they have to say on the matter? One minute, here it is......umm....well.....it sort of appears as if.....ummm...err....so far there has not been a statement on the matter.
