In the rumbling row over supermarket giant, Tesco, sponsoring Gay Pride in London in 2012, I thought that this clip showing how the British Army has embraced homosexuality may be of interest.
More than ever I feel the need of having Thee close to me. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong. Corinthians 12:7-10

Thanks for the letter Tesco
Just received a response in reply to my complaint about Tesco sponsoring the London March of Homosexuals in 2012.
It is, more or less, precisely the same letter as received by GM which I published recently. It tells me just how wonderful, kind and charitable the Tesco Group is and how 'delighted' they are to be able to shove £30000 towards World Pride 2012.
They state that they are an 'inclusive' organisation (yuck) and they claim to have given £64 million last year to charity.....hmmm...like to see a breakdown of that figure.
Anyway, I just thought you might like some help in making up your mind as to what you might be inclined to do about the good Joe 'n' Daisy's Tesco Group.
Here are my suggestions.............
That logo says it all...or you might like..............

Or, even........................
AND A CUNNING PLAN..................
If you feel moved to write to Tescos why not ask them to sponsor SPUC in 2012? After all, they are an inclusive company..........are they not?

Was that a butterfly coughing or a Bishop speaking out?

| My Tesco trolley from now on |
It's been around for a few days now and I've been thinking on't as they say in Herriot country. This is the news that supermarket giant, Tesco is to sponsor the London Pride Gay March. What to do? Take away my custom? OK but it needs a few more than Mrs Linen and myself to make an impresssion on their multi billion annual turnover.
I also object to the title of the homosexual sashay (one can hardly call it a march). London Pride is a very fine bitter brewed by Fuller's; it is also an attractive herbaceous plant. Neither deserve to be associated with the nauseating shenanigans that take place on these occasions.![]() |
| Not a pansy, it's London Pride! |
Thankfully, we have the English Bishops of England and Wales who, as our leaders, boldly step into the breach to proclaim the teachings of the Catholic Faith and to lead us in this battle against immorality.
So what do they have to say on the matter? One minute, here it is......umm....well.....it sort of appears as if.....ummm...err....so far there has not been a statement on the matter.

But I wish that butterfly would stop coughing!
You might like to write to politely complain to Tesco's CEO,
(every letter helps!)
