........don't let the state take them away!
1. Rosary beads
2. The Scapular
3. Miraculous medal
4. Roman Missal
Not forgetting................
More than ever I feel the need of having Thee close to me. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong. Corinthians 12:7-10
Richard,
ReplyDeleteThese are great weapons indeed!-no doubt in the near future the State will ban them too-the way things are going.
Cheers,
Michael.
Amen!!
ReplyDeleteThe Rosary and the mere possession of Rosary beads have been the occasion of murder by the State - cf. Eamon Duffy, THE STRIPPING OF THE ALTARS, pp. 450, 461-462, and 467-468.
ReplyDeleteChristians are meant to love their enemies, you sound like all you care about are yourselves and your 'rights'. Read the New Testament - have you followed a word Jesus said? You are hobbyists. Catholicism is your hobby. You love your toys - Jesus said love your enemies. Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteto Anon. Jesus did not say love what your enemies do. And did not say love what {my} enemies do. Too many do not know what Jesus meant by loveand rather 'have made' Him in their image. And You Anon say what we are. What are you?
ReplyDeleteCould we please have no more anonymous comments, thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much nastier I would be if I was not a Catholic. Without supernatural aid I would hardly be a human being.
ReplyDelete-- Evelyn Waugh
Go easy on us, Anon.; we're trying.
Mark Hall i agree-without Christ I would not be a nice person. Yes we try to live as Christ wants us to
ReplyDeleteThe prayer to St Michael i take great comfort from, always realising that when "Satan and all wicked spirits, who wander through the world for the ruin of souls", it is my soul that is not exempt from the Seven deadly sins.
