Well, Holy Father, if they were Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate they might have been doing this....
But..if they were of the Order of the Sisters of the Bus......

More than ever I feel the need of having Thee close to me. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong. Corinthians 12:7-10
Quite so.
ReplyDeleteI can't afford to hang around waiting for the pope to 'phone, either.

ReplyDeleteWatch out for these sisters!
There is a good website called Pray 4 The Friars that I should like to recommend for daily reading. Keep praying for exoneration of Fr. Manelli and the restoration of the FFI according to his charism.

Thanks for that link. That should be spread around; they're so in need of our prayers.
Deletethe good sîsters were keeping their vigils. strange that this possibility didn't occur to the Pope.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, not strange at all. I'm past the point of making excuses for this Pope. Either he was joking (?) or he was letting slip exactly what he thinks of devout religious.
DeleteMaybe the Pope was joking!
ReplyDeletedo we have to laugh if it was a joke or can we just affirm that reportage on the moments of Jorge Bergoglio should, if published, be subject to the same ridicule of any celebrity in our determindly horizontal culture.
